The Holy Spirit has been active since creation, working in perfect harmony with the Father and Son as part of the Trinity. In the Old Testament, the Spirit empowered individuals for specific purposes, while Jesus taught that the Holy Spirit would be our helper and advocate. When we're born again, our spirit is made alive by the Holy Spirit, though our mind and body require ongoing transformation. At Pentecost, believers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit for empowerment, enabling them to be effective witnesses. This empowerment, including gifts like speaking in tongues, remains available to believers today as we live from the inside out.
